Description
Guan Ping armor scales complete
Completion pictures of Guan Ping (DW6)'s 3-pointed star scales on his vambraces, tassets and butt plate.
I weathered the scales with a mix of Gold & Brown acrylic paint, then applied 2 layers of spray glaze. Note: After taking these pictures, I noticed the glaze was "milky" in appearance, so I re-applied a layer of Gold paint on top of it. I may need to re-weather that new layer of Gold... Also, I ran out of Gold spray so I went out and bought another can, but it turned out to be a different shade of gold. I was using Rust-O-Leum, now I'm using Krylon.

It looks pretty but I think if you're going to be historically inaccurate, at least try to hid the fact that they are inaccurate. (as in ... make them out of leather & then stitch them.)
WAY 1} I think it would look so much better if you hide the stitch behind the Y part of top (or middle depending on viewpoint)
obviously this is metal it would show concept
I searched for "Chinese mountain armor chainmail" incase link fails (for me it was picture two)
WAY 2} Put the stitch in the middle of the Y on top.
